Ireland’s energy future is at a crossroads. Demand keeps rising, targets are being missed, and the bills — economic, environmental, and human — are stacking up. We’re told clean technology will save us, but SEAI projections show that even the fastest rollout won’t be enough. So do we need to rethink growth itself? What happens if, alongside “speeding up” our tech deployment, we also “slow down” our consumption and demand? Can economics find a way to thrive without chasing endless growth? Our panel will wrestle with one of the biggest questions of our age: how to power a fairer, greener, healthier society without running the planet into the ground. Expect insight, argument and, maybe, some answers. In partnership with the Sustainable Energy Association of Ireland.
